Today, 31 May 2024, the European Network of Filipino Diaspora (ENFID) Austria is set to hold a high-level general assembly at the prestigious United Nations building in Vienna in cooperation with the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCAV). This event promises to be a significant gathering, bringing together the leaders and representatives of the ENFID Europe network, as well as esteemed guest speakers and international organizations.
The agenda for this assembly is truly compelling, focusing on topics crucial for the future of Filipino communities worldwide. Attendees can expect to hear from the likes of ENFID Europe leader Christian Estrada and UNCAV representative Hermann Kroiher, who will share their insights and messages of support and solidarity. Additionally, the event will feature country reports from various ENFID Europe chapters, providing a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities facing the Filipino diaspora across the continent.

Bayanihan Hotline Launch – Marvi Gil, ENFiD-Iceland) and “Cyber Security and Money Laundering.”
“Digital Pinoy, Are You Safe?” will be presented by Jeffrey Morales, ENFiD-Germany. Ms. Sofia Dems, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNDOC), will be discussing “anti-money laundering.””. These timely and relevant discussions will undoubtedly equip attendees with the knowledge and tools to navigate the complex landscape Filipino communities face in Europe and beyond.
The Philippine Ambassador to Austria, HE Ambassador Evangelina Lourdes A. Bernas, will also deliver an inspirational speech to be followed by Dr Jane Gerardo Abaya, Philippine Austrian Cultural and Educational Society (PACES)
